And to the surprise of pretty much everyone, the Warriors failed to hang on to this lead and ended up losing the game and the home-court advantage in the series.

The first game of the 2022 NBA Finals ended with 228 points being scored, but even before the last quarter in which the Celtics dropped a whopping 40 points, the game was pretty much on par to going over. After all, the Warriors only scored 16 points in that last quarter.

Despite this, we expect to see fewer points in Game 2. Frist of all, the Celtics will do their best to contain Steph Curry from the very start, while the Warriors will have to do better in defending the three point line since the Celtics scored 9 three points in the last quarter of the previous game.
