Make no mistake about it this game is a huge one at the top of the AFC East as the Jets, who are currently positioned second in the division, welcoming a slick looking Bills side that lead the way in the East standings courtesy of the 6-1 record they have put together. If the Jets are serious about keeping that second spot locked down, they’ll need to put in a good showing here whilst the Bills will very much be thinking about themselves; should the Bills win, they’ll move ever closer to confirming top spot.

As for the game itself, this game will be won when the Bills are in position. Their handling of the football is second to none and Josh Allen leads the way for passing yards across the league whilst only one other person can boast better touchdown numbers. So, the big question becomes can the Jets stifle him and those around him – specifically Stefon Diggs, who has been averaging north of 100 yards per game?

With that said, the Jets are second for a reason. They don’t boast the same QB strength as the Bills with Zach Wilson struggling to stabilise his form, however, defensively they’re a good side with Sauce Gardner, in particular, a bit of a monster. It’s not just the passing game where this one is interesting though; the Bills are capable of playing a rush game too. Allen can open up on the gras and Devin Singletary definitely can as well but the Jets have a good record of countering that sort of approach.

Josh Allen: Is there a more obvious place to start regarding players to watch than Josh Allen? Arguably not but when you’ve got the man that is looking a shoo-in for the MVP award and it’s hard not to recognise Allen as a key man.

New York Jets

Zach Wilson: If you assume that there is little between the capabilities of the Bills and Jets defenses the winner of this match will be decided by who does the most damage when the ball is in their hands. That makes the Bills favorites but Wilson should be bang up for this. He’s not played his best football in recent weeks but after murmurs of Joe Flacco appeared in the week it’s time to start producing.
