The Miami Heat can eliminate the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference First Round with a win this Tuesday evening. Game 4 was no contest with the Heat winning 110-86 in Atlanta to take a 3-1 lead.
With a chance to tie the series, the Hawks had their most disappointing game yet. Despite the return of center Clint Capela, the Hawks had no answers for Jimmy Butler (36 points) or any spacing on offense.
After making Game 3’s game-winning basket on a floater, Trae Young only attempted one free throw and one two-point shot in the entire Game 4. He finished 3-of-10 from three and only scored nine points, his second single-digit scoring game this series after having one such game in the regular season.
Even with Miami’s bench shooting terribly, the Heat just needed Butler’s big game and their defense to win this game with ease to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series. Miami also protected the ball very well without guard Kyle Lowry (hamstring) as the Heat had just six turnovers compared to 15 for Atlanta.

Atlanta Hawks vs. Miami Heat Odds Analysis
Miami is back to being a 7.5-point home favorite for Game 5. The Heat, 6-2 against the Hawks this year, won both home games in this series by double digits.
The total for this game is 217.5 points, which is in line with the earlier games in Miami that ended with 206 and 220 points.
Atlanta Hawks vs. Miami Heat Predictions
Miami Heat -7.5 (-108 at FanDuel)
Miami is in total control of this series. Trae Young has really struggled as a three-point shooter in this series, so it was either genius on Miami’s part to make him try to be one in Game 4, or lunacy on Atlanta to not have its best player drive to the basket like he did to win the last game.
According to ESPN, this was the first game since Young’s rookie season where he got to halftime with no free throw attempts and one field goal attempt inside the arc. The second half did not go better. Look for Young to be more aggressive in Game 5, but we are into “too little too late” territory with this Atlanta offense. Bogdan Bogdanovic and Kevin Huerter, two shooters who usually perform at home, were 2-of-13 from the field.
Butler shined once again with a 36-point effort. He was the only Miami player with more than 14 points as Tyler Herro only scored three points to highlight an awful bench performance. But it did not matter with the way the Heat dominated the second quarter by a 30-15 margin, keyed by Butler’s greatness.
All three Miami wins in this series have been by double digits. Expect more of the same with the Heat closing out the Hawks at home. Remember, Atlanta is an NBA-worst 6-20 ATS (23.1%) as a road underdog this season.

Miami has been incredibly consistent in this series. The Heat scored 115 points in both home games and 110 points in both road games. Atlanta has been anything but reliable. In fact, the last three times the Hawks have been held to 91 points or fewer, the opponent was Miami. The Heat just has the number of Young and the Hawks this year.
Maybe there is still a shootout to come, but I would count on the Miami defense starting what it finished and holding the Hawks under 105 points while scoring its usual 110-115 points in this series. Let’s go with the under to close things out.
Bet With BetMGM >Bonus Player Prop Pick: Jimmy Butler to Have 8+ Rebounds/Miami to Win (+160 at FanDuel)
For a prop pick on FanDuel, we like the player performance double for Jimmy Butler’s rebounds (over 7.5) and Miami to win the game. Butler had 10 rebounds in both games in Atlanta. He leads the Heat in rebounds in this series. The Hawks have been missing a lot of shots in this series, especially from three, which should lead to more rebound opportunities for a forward like Butler as he looks to close the series out at home.
