Fortnite Patch v20.10: Daily Bugle Battle, Heavy Sniper Returns & More

The first patch of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 has arrived. Here's everything you need to know about Fortnite Patch v20.10.

Fortnite's latest season (https://estnn.com/fortnite-chapter-3-season-2-resistance-patch-notes/) drew more hype than any other over the last year. Epic Games' decision to temporarily remove the building mechanic significantly benefited the game's ecosystem. Viewership and participation numbers skyrocketed across the board. The season also introduced new mechanics such as tactical sprint and mantling to give players something more to master.

Today, Epic expanded on Chapter 3 Season 2, with the first significant update. The developers deployed patch v20.10 (https://www.epicgames.com/fortnite/en-US/news/fortnite-v20-10-update-the-battle-for-daily-bugle) for players to experience. ESTNN is here to break down everything new in the latest update.

The Battle for The Daily Bugle

Battle lines are moving across Fortnite Island as the Imagine Order and The Resistance continue jockeying for the upper hand. Patch v20.10 made The Daily Bugle home to an active fight between the two factions. Those landing here following the update will now find more loot options. Additionally, the Huntsman Saber boss has relocated from Command Cavern to The Daily Bugle to support the IO.

A New Heavy Sniper Enters the Fray

Fortnite's Heavy Sniper returned in patch v20.10, as rumored before the season. However, this weapon is not the one we've seen before. Epic Games reworked the Heavy Sniper to make it a vehicle destroyer. The reinvented Heavy Sniper is now the ideal candidate to take down a Titan Tank.

You can find this weapon in locations such as regular Cheats, rare Chests and Supply Drops. It's worth noting that the Heavy Sniper spawns in Rare, Epic and Legendary rarities.

Funding Effort: Combat Assault Rifle vs. MK-Seven Assault Rifle

Epic Games allowed players to test out the Combat and MK-Seven Assault Rifles over the last few days. Now, the funding has officially begun. You can find Donation Boards across the Island, allowing you to vote on which one you'd like to keep in Fortnite. To vote, you'll need to exchange Gold Bars at one of the boards located mainly at primary points of interest (POIs).

  • Here is a list of bugs addressed in patch v20.10:
