The release of Call of Duty Modern Warfare has been well received over the past few days by fans and critics alike. This new patch update shouldn't be any different.

Patch 1.05 has brought a large number of people together across all platforms, weighing in at a total of 2.4GB on PS4, 3.02GB on Xbox One and around 8GB on PCs.

Here is the official statement from the site expanded.

“We're rolling into the first full weekend of Modern Warfare being out in the wild and it's been incredible to see so many people sharing their thoughts and feedback with us,” a message from Infinity Ward reveals.

“As we said during the beta, this is your game just as much as it is ours, so we can't thank you enough for hopping online with us.”

Full patch notes are yet to be revealed for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1.05 but there are already many reports the download has tweaked a few things to liven things up for new players and seasoned veterans.

Adjustments to Dead Silence as well as footstep audio have been noted by Call of Duty Modern Warfare players since the update 1.05 rollout.

The official changelog for the PS4 version of Call of Duty Modern Warfare update 1.05 also notes a few other phases of improvements, which say that there are “security and stability fixes” to come within the latest patches of the game.

Here are the most current updates of those officially stated fixes:

Patching Up With New Changes

- Fix for the “Best of the Best” challenge not tracking progress

- Fix for the “Elite Sniper” challenge not displaying the correct description
