Here are some of the best heroes in the current patch.

Even though Dota 2’s newest patch came out just a few days ago, it already changed the game. Besides the various new items, some heroes were also changed a lot. Hence, we decided it’s time to take a look at some of the biggest winners of the new patch.

Keep in mind that this list is subject to change because we will see many various minor changes in the last couple of days.

Mirana

The first hero that deserves to be on this list is Mirana. Although she was really popular in the previous patch, she still continues to be one of the most important heroes in the game. Although she was mainly played as a support/offlaner, the addition of Aghanim’s Shard will allow the hero to play as a damage dealer once again.

Some teams already tried playing Mirana as a mid laner and, judging by the results, it was successful. Besides being incredibly versatile, this hero is also a nightmare to deal with if you are a support player. After the changes related to the Sentry Wards, Mirana’s ultimate can be a huge problem.

Nyx Assassin

Nyx Assassin has always been good in pubs, but due to his tricky set of skills, the hero hasn’t seen a lot of action in the professional scene. However, patch 7.28 introduced another round of buffs, which means that the hero should become more popular.

Despite his poor early game, the hero actually scales really well and can make the life of every core intelligence mid laner a living hell. What’s more, Nyx has a decent damage output even if he doesn’t have any items, which always makes him strong against squishy supports.

Wraith King

Generally speaking, WK has always been a really strong hero. However, since Radiance was nerfed a few months ago, the hero wasn’t so popular because there were just better options out there.

Luckily, patch 7.28 added several positive changes to the hero, such as the fact that he can have lifesteal and skeletons at the same time. Although this might not seem like that big of a deal, it actually makes a lot of difference because the hero is way more powerful than before.

Invoker

The last hero that we want to add to this list is Invoker. Even though some of the changes might not seem that impressive, it seems like we could finally see the infamous Exort/Quas build back in action.

The new patch gives the hero an extra Forge Spirit once he reaches level 8, which can make a huge difference during the laning stage and mid-game. This also means that most Invoker players will probably try to go for the classic Midas build once again.
