Valve has officially released Patch 7.22c for Dota 2.
The second update to 7.22 is finally out and, unlike the previous one, 7.22c has brought a lot of changes to some of the heroes. Here are some of the most important changes:
Chen is one of the heroes with the most changes. Divine Favor Aura will no longer provide any damage. Its regen was buffed to 2/3/4/5 and it has the Recall ability with a 60 seconds CD.
What’s more, Holy Persuasion will now provide +8/16/24/32 bonus damage to the converted creep. On the contrary, Valve has increased Penitence’s mana cost to 70/80/90/100
There are also changes to his talents. First, his level 10 XP gain is now +30% instead of +35%. Second, the level 15 talent now provides +20 Holy Persuasion damage instead of +10 Divine Favor Damage. And last, but not least, the +7 armor changes to a -30 Divine Favor CD.
Clinkz is also getting a lot of changes to his talents. His level 10 one is changed completely and now instead of + 5 Armor it gives +8 Agility. In addition, the +12% Magic Resistance is also swapped wit ha +10 Strength. The +15 Strength is swapped out with -30s Burning Army CD on his level 15 talent. Lastly, the Strafe Duration is increased with 1 second on his last talent.
Once again, IO is among the heroes who are getting a lot of changes. Let’s not forget that the hero was recently re-added to Captains Mode after he was removed from there in 7.22. In 7.22c, IO’s Attack Range is reduced to 500 and his Base armor is increased by 1. What’s more, his Strength gain is also increased from 2.5 to 3.
The next change is connected with Tether. To be specific, it’s regen is reduced from 105/120/135/150% to 90/110/130/150%. In addition, Tether cancel now has a 0.25s CD to prevent accidental uses.
Lastly, IO’s Spirits no longer slow. However, his level 10 talent now gives him that chance because the +20 XP gain is swapped.
Lich’s base Intelligence is increased by 2 and his Sinister Gaze CD is also reduced by 6 seconds, making it 24 seconds on level 4. What’s more, his Chain Frost damage is also increased and now it does 550 damage on level 3. In addition, the 25 talent now gives 10% more slow, making it 60% in total.
Lich is one of the few heroes who is getting buffs only. It should definitely help the hero to bounce back in the meta.
Puck has always been a somewhat situational hero. Pro players favor the Faerie Dragon because of his incredible tempo control and utility that it provides. In 7.22c, the base HP regen is set to 0.5 (before it was 0). The level 25 Dreamcoil talent no longer requires enemies to be in attack range of Puck, as long as the hero is within 200 range of the edge of the circle. What’s more, the devs have reduced Dreamcoil’s talent attack interval from 0.6 to every 0.7 seconds.
In addition to the other changes, the level 10 talent now gives +6 all stats or +150 Cast Range.
Tinker’s change was somewhat expected because the hero is definitely not having the best time in the current meta.
Valve has also reduced his March of the Machines mana cost from 145/150/165/190 to 130/15/170/190. However, probably one of the most controversial changes in 7.22c is Tinker’s level 15 talent. Instead of +30 Movement speed, it will now give +150 GPM, which is just insane. This makes the already fast-farming hero even more potent.
The other choice in level 15 – Spell Lifesteal is also increased to +15%. Last, but not least, March of the Machines now do +10 damage on his level 20 talent.
There are many other heroes with some changes to them. Make sure to read the full patch notes HERE. The first big tournament which will be played on 7.22c is the StarLadder ImbaTV Minor. In fact, the last Minor of this DPC season starts in just a few days from now.
