To fix this error, most people expect that they just need to restart their game. This might work in some instances, but since the problem is related to the coordinator, it may not be enough. 

Besides these steps, we also found that you can fix this error by creating a custom lobby. Once done, all you need to do is start the game and then exit the entire Dota 2 client. Doing this will allow your client to disconnect from the coordinator, and you can queue up for another game. 

If that does not work, there is another way to fix the Dota 2 Failed To Start A Game, A Party Member Is In Another Game Error, and it is related to the console. This one has a few more steps, so here is how it works:

• Go to settings and find the option to enable your console. This is located inside the Advanced Options tab located in “Options”.
• After enabling it, open the console and type “disconnect”. 

Once done, you should be back on your launch screen, which is where you can queue up for another game. Doing this should definitely remove the error you had before, no matter if you are playing alone or with friends.
