Rise of the Ronin is finally out and is only the second highly anticipated PlayStation 5 exclusive. Team Ninja has delivered yet again a stunning action extravaganza that pulls out all the stops even if it's overly complicated multiplayer missions and the stale open world do not quite live up to their other works.
Still, its Samurai Adventure lives up to the hype and if you're a fan of Nioh, you know exactly what to expect from them. Since the game features an online mode, you're probably wondering how you can customize your character. Don't worry, we got you covered.
Can You Change Your Appearance in Rise of the Ronin?
The long and short of it: Yes you can change the appearance of both at almost any point in the game as long as you unlock the feature.
To change both playable character's appearances, you'll need to unlock the Longhouse first which is unlocked while playing through the main story of Rise of the Ronin. The Longhouse can be found in Miyozaki and is a gift from Ryoma Sakamoto after you visit the local Red Lantern District and speak to Taka Murayama.
The Longhouse functions as your base of operations and also allows the player to access the game's multiplayer which lets you team up with various other players on linear missions.
How to Change Your Appearance in Rise of the Ronin
Changing your appearance is pretty easy, simply head on over to the Longhouse which is located to the east of the Miyozaki Red Light District. Here it is as simple as picking the Relax option on the Longhouse's menu and selecting Appearance to switch things up.
You can change pretty much everything about your character here with no penalties whatsoever and completely free.
At the Longhouse you can also select the Redesign opinion which lets you pick out your character outfit. These set outfits do not affect your stats and are purely cosmetics. As was as we can tell you can mix and match these layered armors however you like. Do however keep in mind that the armor you are wearing in your equipment screen will still affect your stats going into the next mission.
